I absolutely ADORE finding quotes. This is a wicked hard to read font color by the way!
"This is your LIFE. Do what you love, and do it often. If you don't like something, change it. If you don't like your job, quit. If you don't have enough time, stop watching tv. If you are looking for the love of your life, stop; they will be waiting for you when you start doing things you love. Stop over analyzing, all emotions are beautiful. When you eat, appreciate every last bite. Life is simple. Open your mind, arms, and heart to new things and people, we are united in our differences. Ask the next person you see what their passion is, and share your inspiring dream with them. Travel often; getting lost will help you find yourself. Some opportunities only come once, seize them. Life is about the people you meet, and the things you create with them so go out and start creating. LIFE IS SHORT. Live your DREAM, and WEAR your Passion."
"Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should just be friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your head. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in your mind. It's a soul hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love." - Neil Gaiman
"Just be yourself: you are wonderful."
"You may not be her first, her last, or her only. She loved before she may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters? She's not perfect, you aren't either, and the two of you may never be perfect together but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she will give you a part of her that she knows you can break her heart. So don't hurt her, don't change her, don't analyze and don't expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she's not there." - Bob Marley
"It's the rule of life that everything you have always wanted comes the very second you stop looking for it."
"Take chances. Tell the truth. Date someone totally wrong for you. Say no. Spend all your cash. Get to know someone random. Be random. Say I love you. Sing out loud. Laugh at stupid jokes. Cry. Apologize. Tell someone how much they mean to you. Tell a jerk what you think. Laugh till your stomach hurts. Live life. Regret nothing."
"Do you ever just want to call me at 2 AM? Do you ever just want to give me a hug & never let go? Do you ever just want to lean in & kiss me? Do you ever just want to go up to me & tell me how much you love me? Do you ever just stare out your window & think about me? Do you ever just feel like you want to be with me forever? Do you ever just want to grab my hand & never let go? I do."
"Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon. You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life."

I saw this in a website that I found while searching the web. I think it's an absolute inspiration to anyone, and if you can't follow all 100 ways, then pick a few, and just keep adding to it. It's the STEPS you take, that make the MOMENTS count. <3
Trying Something New
A friend of mine is blogging now, so I figured I'd give it a try too. I've always thinking of things I want to write down and remember, or a place to rant and never have a place to go, outside of a few friends who are probably sick of listening to me! (lol). So I'm going to try this out. I think it'll be fun if nothing else. And I can always put quotes and random videos that I love on here for my own use!
So if you don't know me, I'm Amanda. Some call me Amara, and there's PLENTY. of other names that I'm called. Mostly good, though I have been called some nasty names before. Different story though.
I'm 22, turning 23 this August. OMG I'm old. -.- I can't believe I'm almost 23. I also can't believe that this year marks 5 years since I graduated from high school. Right now, I'm living in Sherman..though I've lived in the Greater Cleveland area of Ohio, in Los Angeles, Cali (MISS IT SO MUCHHH), Bartlesville, OK and Weatherford, OK. I don't know where the next place will be, but I definitely miss the big city. Sherman just doesn't do it for me! I think it's around 40-50k in population? So small. Almost nothing to do ever, outside of work.
I'm going to be going to Texas Woman's University in the Fall! I'm SO excited. It's for family studies, and I'm also considering psychology as well, but I'm going to wait and talk to a counselor about it first, and explain where I want to go with it. I think it would be awesome to get a bachelor's in both fields, and then go further into psych or family studies. BUT I don't know if financially I'm capable of accomplishing that right now, so we shall wait and see!
I have two kittens. Lexie and Jazz. Lexie was born on the 1st of Jan, 2011, and is absolutely stunning and sweet. She loves to cuddle, and is constantly getting in my face for attention. Jazz was born on the 21st of Feb, 2011, and is Miss Antisocial most of the time. It's okay though, I can't have two needy cats! lol
The rest of me you can ask or find out through future posts!
Hope you enjoy. :)
